Business
What makes District 1 great is our businesses that define our culture and unique identity. Our restaurants and shops are providing you with the highest quality service and need your support.
More Parking downtown
The St.Mary's Street area could use additional parking. Simply put, more parking is more money to our local businesses, which in turn is more money to our city.
Housing
Many affordable apartments in District 1 are being acquired by private investors, driving up prices and reducing options for local residents. We need a concerted effort for affordable housing.
Infrastructure
There are several key areas around district 1 where the light bulb intensity could be increased to provide greater visibility. I will advocate for additional lighting in the neighborhoods surrounding the airport to provide and improve public safety.
Project Marvel
City funding should align with broader urban goals and incorporate extensive community input. I do not oppose the project, but rather wish to see city money pay for matters which directly affect all residents, rather than fund private interests.
No more sleeping on our sidewalks
District 1 has many housing projects to house the unhoused and I will work with police departments to clean up our streets and find our community work and homes.
